Program Overview

Our program gives children aged 4-9 a meaningful, integrated, real-world learning environment. Through play and exploration of the forests and trails of the 600 acre Ignatius Jesuit Centre, children gain a connection and understanding of the natural world and their place in it. The creative process of learning continues inside our beautiful, fully-equipped indoor classrooms and facilities, bringing the outside in.

In addition to the core program, special March Break activities include maple sap collection, making a soup, forest adventure hikes, building a bird house, cooking over a campfire, and building a shelter. These activities are weather dependant.

A delicious three-course lunch and two snacks are freshly prepared from scratch by our chef Drew Steadman in our kitchen. We use primarily organic, seasonal and local ingredients. Our food program introduces children to seasonal vegetables through tasting games, cooking and gardening (starting seeds indoors in March), helping them learn to love healthy foods.

Typical Camp Day

How to Register and Fees

Full Week, March 14 – 18, 2016 – $300, includes lunch and two snacks (taxes included).

To reserve your child’s spot at camp, please complete the March Break camp enrollment package and send or drop it off together with a cheque or money order for the complete amount. Alternatively, you may email the completed registration form to info@guelphoutdoorpreschool.com and pay via an online transfer.

Space is limited.

Refunds

Cancellations for refunds must be made by February 22nd, 2016 (3 weeks prior to the start of the camp). After that, refunds will only be given for medical reasons with a doctor’s certificate.

A $30.00 administration fee is charged for all withdrawals.

Please note that a $25.00 fee will be charged for all NSF cheques.
